EC HM - Thursday 15th November

Note: big 1.5 patch that day so there might be delays and changes to either class or Op balance we have to look at first.

Invites will begin at 19:40 GMT. (assuming server is up)
Everyone is expected to be inside the Operation, stocked and ready to pull for 20:00. (assuming server is up)

The run is expected to last a minimum of three hours but i would advise making arrangements for at least 4 hours please.

I normally dont for TFB however TFB boss fight clearly favours ranged people but seems we can adapt ok for any combination of dps.

For HM I think we will have to be strict but for SM, we can totally switch around to get as many as possible a run.

Any evidence about this? I saw loads of videos of HM runs with so many different team composition I did not realize ranged were favored... Gonna dig into that further.

The healers should not be eating the acid spit and rdps can tank on the adds before they reach the tank. It doesnt make it impossible, but its much easier with ranged there.

The same is true if/when we move to HM. We cannot ever afford to lose dps on any boss. Any time the melee are running around, there is a large dps loss on the boss and we start to see enrage timer issues.

On first boss (withering terror), ranged will take on the jealous male and other adds, melee stay exclusively on the main boss. Wherever there is adds in a boss fight, it should be standard to only send enough dps to deal with them whilst not losing too much time on the boss.

Ofc Im sure it could be done with all melee, even on HM but I think ranged dps are specialists at add takedown (lots of aoe abilities) and very quickly switching between targets and utilising the ops wide buffs by using different classes. We can get away with it here, but I believe in campaign level ops and to some extent, how well we cope with TFB SM is down to composition many times.

The quickness with what a ranged can reach a target was supposed to be mitigated with less DPS than a melee. Otherwise it would make no sense to have a melee in this game. But yes when we can afford a perfect balaced team why not doing it. But if our team is not ideal, don't refrain either.

Hmmm, I should be there, but should we not swap TFB and EV, to give us more tries on TFB ? It would really be nice to complete it...

totally leave that to majority vote on the night i guess. Was thinking EC HM practice would be interesting, but if people prefer to complete TFB, all for it. bear in mind as JJ points out, server not scheduled to be up till 7pm CET so we might have delays running the thursday op i imagine.

Updated since we are doing EC now, whether or not we attempt HM will be made nearer the time based on any delays with the patch and team composition.

Note: we currently have a tank and healer spot open, however since Niff had to sit out last night, the tank spot is reserved for him if he wants it (not confirmed yet) otherwise we will juggle around the team with alts and pugs as needed.

fyi i might be late to this since i broke my phone today which has the security OTP for swtor on it and i need to contact customer support to remove the security key from my account temporarily.
